Augmented 7 Wonders is an augmented reality app that helps you play the 7 Wonders™ board game.
You don't remember the rules of a card that's in you hand or you find it difficult to understand.
You film that card with your device's camera.

To activate the scoring mode press the scoring button :
When it is switched on, the scoring mode automatically counts the points earned by the cards filmed by the camera. The central chart displays the total points currently counted by the application and classifies them by color. The size of each color is proportional to the number of points earned by the cards of that color.
Even if most of the calculations are carried out automatically, certain scenarios require a slight intervention on your part.
Green cards points are counted automatically.
Some cards or wonder steps (Scientist's Guild / Babylon step 2) give the players the possibility to add to their deck a scientific symbol of their choice. Those points are also computed automatically whenever needed, and the best choice is always made.
This button allows you to manually count military points. The points are added to the total and represented by the red color. Negative points can be counted.
This button allows you to manually count the points earned by the coins you own. The points are added to the total and represented by the yellow color surmounted by a piece of gold. Negative points can be counted.
CAUTION: pressing this button counts a batch of 3 coins (so a point) and not a single coin.
This button is active only when you have filmed a wonder card (or board) in scoring mode and its name appears at the bottom of the screen. This group of buttons allows you to select a face of wonder and a step of wonder. The effects and points added by each step are automatically taken into account.
Some cards earn points based on cards in the hands of neighboring players. If one of these cards is filmed in the scoring mode, an icon at the bottom of the screen will display the color of the neighboring cards to be counted and will allow this counting to be performed manually.
The green cards copied by the masks introduced in the Cities extension can not be managed in the same way as the green cards directly present in the player's hand. This is because it is possible to copy a card that the player already owns. If a card containing a copy effect (mask) is filmed in the scoring mode, a mask icon will appear at the bottom of the screen. A number indicates the number of mask effects currently available to the player. In order to copy a green card, it is first necessary to click on the mask displayed at the bottom of the screen. The next green card filmed will be copied.
Pressing the central chart allows you to get more detailed statistics of the game. Each of the cards registered in the scoring mode is displayed, along with the points it earns. The points earned by the green and red cards are not displayed individually (but the cards are). The cards are ranked in descending order of points. It is possible to only display the cards of the desired color using the filter at the bottom of the screen.
It may happen that a card that does not belong to the player is filmed unintentionally and is counted by the application, which distorts the final score. It is then necessary to delete the card from the recorded deck. This is possible in the detailed statistics screen by clicking the delete button.
At any time of the game you have the option to save the statistics by opening the settings and selecting the save button. Remember to give your backup a name before saving. Once a game has been saved, it appears in the drop-down list of saved games and can be loaded.
CAUTION:loading a game deletes all data from the current game and can only be used for viewing / sharing.
At any time of the game, you have the option to share the statistics in the way that suits you best. To do this, go to the detailed statistics screen, open the menu and press the share button.
The captured screenshot contains the central graphic and the seven best cards of your deck.
If you notice that the cards aren't detected by the app, it's most probably a matter of brightness of the room you are in. The card's surface must be well and homogeneously lit in order for it to be recognized by the app. To enhance detection, you should turn the lights on and rotate the card in the direction of the light source. At any time, the app also gives you the option to turn the flashlight of your mobile device on, if any.
If those advises don't help you enhance cards recognition, you should also consider trying to change the distance between the camera and the card being filmed. The optimal distance may vary from one device to another.
If the explanation text currently being shown is bigger than the height of the targeted card, you just need to scroll the text up with your finger.
Sessions of 7 Wonders™ can last a long time (even more if you don't know the rules very well !). In order to save battery, the camera is, by default, set to be automatically deactivated after a period of inactivity of 1 minute. You can change that in the options.
